SBABS Add-On - NeoABS

    "SBABS Add-On" is a plug-in system for my NeoABS. The demo has all the scripts you need though. Making it a plug-in was purely for technical reasons.

    Just copy and paste the scripts and look at Settings part of the SBABS script, you can also look at the caterpillar script as well.

    Q: I can not open the demo!
    A: Download winrar.

    Q: What scripts do I need?
    A: Just the script and UCoders Module.

    Q: My game crashes and all I did was add the script to my game!
    A: You need to add them in the same order they came in the demo.

Yeah, I'm used to these kinds of puzzles :D Nice ideas though!

I had a slight problem - it was a bit hard to get heroes to go through the 1-tile wide jail doors. Had to do some dancing around before I found out they warp back to you if you go too far =x
 
Another AI quirk.....  Allies walking past 1-tile-wide walls will hear enemies on the other side and dance around the wall. Once you get too far away the allies respawn as intended, but then they run all the way back to that wall and continue to dance around. They want to find that enemy, but they are trapped by walls.

Perhaps you can make them 'forget' about those monsters when they respawn near the main player?
 
Wow, the AI is so much better and the lag is almost nonexistent! Looks like I have no need of your old SBABS.


I have a request for your new SBABS, though. Hopefully it isn't too much trouble to script, but then again I wouldn't know because I have no scripting knowledge.

Anyway, I was wondering if you could somehow add the ability to play battle music when an enemy is in sight, and have it restore the music after they are defeated. Someone created a similar script for your SBABS and I guess it spoiled me. Heh. I understand some people might not like this, so if you decide to do it maybe it could be optional or something.

Actually..people been wanting that for a while. I'll add it to the next version. I'm currently working on a TBS and a game for it..so a next version might be a while but I'll probably do it before i finish the game still.
 
it's quite good... But how can I switch the (changing player)off?

And can you please give me the number of the line of the script to edit?

This is a really good system, but I was looking at your scripts a bit and noticed a possible bug. If a characters Hp reaches 0 in your party, they are still able to roam about and attack... probably something important to fix XD! One other question! How do you get rid of the ranged weapons able to go through walls thing?

Mr. Mo, I found another error.


I get this error whenever I use a switch during conversation to start a battle.

it looks like you made an error in the enemy setup. Make sure everything is in the right order. IF you can't fix it, take a screen of the setup of that enemy.
