Jerik yawned, seeing the morning sun. They had traveled almost 20 miles in four hours, and they and their horses were exhausted. Soon they came about a small house.
"We might can water our steeds here." said Gill, "Assuming the owner lets us. My kind is not very accepted among yours." Jerik had come to accept this. Even leaving Veen, they still got mean looks from many townsfolk. Jerik, being the only human, walked up the dirt path and knocked on the sturdy maple door.
"What do you want?" Said a less-than friendly voice from inside. This annoyed Jerik, but he remained calm. "We'd like to water our horses, perhaps in your barn--"
Suddenly a voice yelled from inside. "You shan't go near my barn!" At this Gill smirked, walked up to the door, and with the help of Jerik, slammed it down. "Pity." he said, "Because I'm wondering why this werewolf hair was there?!"
