Very special thanks to Reives, who lent me some Server space for the game!

The End of Days is coming...
But my reign is over, and my work undone.
I shall leave behind me the Secret to my Wrath,
for my heir, my one true ancestor to finish my work.
For only the one who smears the blood of the Heroes guild on their sword as I have done...
will bring the world down before them.
This is my Will. The only true Legacy.

The prosperous Lands of Grand Haven is at war with the Kingdom of the Hogs, San Halso, ruled by their malicious leader, Groghus Kauggish. Follow the path of Dejack Narseau, a young man who joins the army, and soon begins to unravel the hidden reasons for the war, and the dark past to the Land he loves so much.

Travel across the lands of Grand Haven as Dejack, and attempt to fulfil the Legacy of Zagolth.

  • Huge Overworld! (Warning: Huge File) [May as well mention it here, but this is only a small part of the whole planned overworld]
  • 4 hrs of playable content
  • Dozens of Sidequests
  • As you prowl the overworld, day turns to night and night turns to day.
  • Dynamic Item use (Instead of walking up to a door and pressing enter to use that key you found, you go to your inventory first, making you think about what you're doing rather than just playing like a zombie)
  • Bonus features to be unlocked as you progress through the game

Dejack.png
Dejack Narseau: The Hero of the Children of Gods Series. Dejack is a butch kind of guy, putting responsibilities over his feelings and emotions, but occasionally a real personality will poke it's way through the tough-guy mask, sometimes taking the form of a crap joke, or pun. Being raised by an adoptive father in Saturi Headland, Dejack grew up with his best friend Zack, who both decided they wanted to join the Army.

Enrique.png
Enrique Marcini: Enrique is a cocky mercenary in the Grand Haven Army. Currently working undercover in the field, Enrique has a great passion for upholding justice, having been brought up in a very military-based family.

Kauggish.png
Groghus Kauggish: The dictator King of the Hogs, Groghus Kauggish is a power to be dealt with carefully. Unusually for a Hog, Kauggish is not as slow or dense as his kindred Hogs. Most people put this down to a gene that skipped a generation. Kauggish grew up seeing how badly treated the Hogs were amongst the world, and he felt a calling to put a stop to the prejudice. He sees Hogs as the dominant species, and should be the dominant race in the world.

Setheska.png
Rogus Setheska: Groghus Kauggish's right-hand hog. Setheska shares Kauggish's clearer thinking ability and has joint direct control over the San Halsian Army. Setheska is more physically involved in the running of the army, often taking part in missions that need special care taken over.

Antonio.png
Cpt. Antonio: Dejack's direct superior during his time in the Havenite Army, Antonio trained Dejack and taught him all the fighting skills he needed to know. Antonio can be ruthless superior sometimes, but tends to be friendlier to people that he likes, which are often people who excel in the army and perform well. Antonio knows that Grand Haven has been through too much to be ruined by Kauggish and the Hogs.

Zack.png
Zack Bashnee: Dejack's best friend in Saturi Headland. Like Dejack, he was adopted by the town's mayor, Frederick Bashnee. Unlike Dejack, Zack did not have a name when he was adopted and was so named by Frederick Bashnee. However, Frederick Bashnee was afraid of the two boys becoming too attached to him when he was not their real father, and was rather dettached in their upbringing of them.

Anna.png
Anna Bashnee: Frederick Bashnee's real biological daughter. Anna is younger than the two boys, being born after they were adopted, after Frederick and his wife were able to conceive a child. Due to Frederick's upbringing of the two boys she never saw the two as her brothers, merely two people that happened to live with them. Over the years she has developed quite a liking for Dejack...

Zagolth.png
Lord Zagolth: In a world where Magic is considerably weak, Lord Zagolth was an immensely powerful wizard. Killed over 90 years ago, he attempted to bring the world under his rule. His motivation for this was never found out. Historians see Zagolth as an enigma; Where did he himself get so much power? What was his first name, even?

your second screenshot it was too reddish, it hurt my eyes when I tried to look at it. You should tone down the red a little or maybe don't use any red at all. I don't think you need the screen to be red if you're trying to emulate fire, I believe having the fire there is enough.

I didn't really read too much of it, but the screens looks pretty good. I like the style of "overworld" you have there, although at the moment it seems a little...bland. Right now, I mostly only see forests and coastline. Although I don't know if you're completely done with it yet, I think it could use some different scenery, such as deserts, snow, wastelands, etc.

Your indoor mapping is quite good (the pub map looks fantastic) but the outdoor maps leave a little to be desired. For example, in the third screenshot, the edges of the cliffs seem far too straight. Making them jutting out and a little more random would help it. (hey, I just realized this was a desert scene, which sort of contradicts what I mentioned earlier )

Also, on the second to last screenshot, could you elaborate a little on what that is? It looks very interesting, but I have no clue what it's all about. Care to explain?

Anyway, looks like a great project. Best of luck  :thumb:

By the way, your use of pigs as characters wouldn't happen to be influenced by Mother 3, would they?

Well, as you said later on, yes this is a desert, but that's only part of it. There is a desert-y area in Grand Haven, but it's not connected to the bit of the map I've shown. There's a bit in between, yet if you really want a desert, ask, and ye shall receive.

Ah, there's a reason for that. There's a minigame that takes place there.

That's the dynamic item use in play. In that one, you're combining two halves of an insignia.

I've never played any of the Mother Games...

HOMYGOD! I'VE MADE A HUUUUGE MISTAKE! Nobody download the game yet, and if you already have, can you re-download it after I've uploaded it, which will be in just a li'l while.

I think I've set up the player start position in the wrong place when I was testing something, so if you're playing and you have no idea what's happening then turn it off and wait.

I'm very sorry for this li'l fuckup.

EDIT: Try it now.

Ee, looks like it deserves a lot more attention than this - hopefully Doctor's upcoming review will shed some more light on it.
So many things to try, so little time.

I've been meaning to play this, now that I'm back with my regular computer I'm going to check it out!
By the way, I vaguely remember those two screenshots from... the old screenshot thread, was it? Wow that was a long time ago, you must have put a lot of work into this.

Okay, I suck at this game...Then again, I suck at most games. :P
What do I do after I meet up again with the pig man? (forgot his name)
Anyway, I'm impressed so far, the mapping is great and the puzzles are fun.

Although I can't stand it when they won't let you save except for at certain points. Grrr. I hate it.  Of course, used correctly, it's not that bad. I just prefer having the option to save whenever I want. It is a matter of personal preference, I suppose.

Dadevster: after you've recaptured the pig man, you need to go downstairs (on the right) to the prison, and look at the door TWICE. The rest is self-explanatory. You might want to change that, Bruno. Most gamers will only look at something once, not twice.

And about the save thing, the game lets you save whenever you want later on.

By the by, how long is this game?
