Never got to Archeology when I was playing; was too busy getting my meagre levels up! :haha:
I like and dislike the rework; the mining side is great. But I can't get away from how Smithing now just feels slower. Used to just need 3 taps with the hammer to make a Platebody... it's a lot more than that now...
So I thought Archy was costing me a fortune this DXP - I've spent 47 million gp on it. But then I remembered Chronanotes, of which I now have 72.5 million worth, and my material bank has like 1,000 of each one, that's probably another 50m in my material bank. Crazy skill.
Ironman is how I play most MMOs nowadays. At least as far as gear goes. I've gotten all of my crafting classes on FF14 to at least 60 and I have barely spent a gil. Every time I run into a component for a recipe that has to be made by another class I just switch to that one and grind it out instead. It's super satisfying.
Yeah that sounds great! Big issue with modern MMOs is that sense of satisfaction is kinda gone... Ironman is good way to add it back in.
Could never get into FF14 though, tried a couple of times. I love the Lalafell though! Their emotes are hilarious, they're cute and we're about the same height! :D
Got me hungry for chips now, lol. RuneScape can be fun if you can split your attention with something else too. I mostly play the Old School variant. Though since Membership counts for OSRS and RS3, it lets me dip my toe into RS£ occasionally. OS is slooooow though.
