File Exist??

Does anyone know if there is a File.exist? like function that works with encrypted games?

are you trying to find files outside of the encrypted game? btw the function is called FileTest.exist?(filename). you should be able to find files outside the game, by simply telling the location.

No, it doesn't work in an encrypted game as far as I know.

I don't think there's one for encrypted files

You might be able to do it the lazy way though:

begin
  load_data whatever
rescue
  make whatever's supposed to happen if it doesn't exist
end

Just wondering, is load_data exactly the same as Marshal.load, besides that it can load from encrypted archives as well?
