I'm DLing the game anyway but probably won't get around to playing it for a while. In the meantime, can you post some actual in-game screenshots?

Your character artwork is lovely.

Wow, all I can really say is wow. One thing's for sure, this is an amazing game. Graphic wise, and music wise. Still not totally sure about the plot, but it's interesting.

The only thing bad that I have to say, is that you split the files up so you had to download 2 files to play the game. Try using other upload services so you just have to download one single file. Other than that, you are an amazing artist. Keep up the amazing work. =D

Wow.  Those screenshots are just....amazing.

That artwork is just...I can't even say anything.

I don't care about anything else, I'm just downloading to see this amazing looking artwork in the game o.o

It truely is amazing. Reminds me of, well, I don't know. I've seen a style like this before that I loved. This game pulled it off, but this game made me forget about what the other one was called XD

The eye candies of this game is certainly professionally refreshing. :) Something else that I really enjoyed about this was the humour at times.

By the way, I noticed that one of the designers in the credits was "Strawberry"; is he/she the one with the Japanese RMXP resource site called Strawberry ___? I ask because the marketing manager was Japanese, and thought it might be. o:

Wow, this was an amazing game. Definately up there among the top 5 best RMXP games i've played to date.

Easily the best custom graphics i've seen in an RMXP game. Games like The Lost Element and Genesis Saga were hyped up to have full color CG background environments yet this unknown gem is the only one to truly deliver on such an experience. I also liked the tweaks and customizations to the default systems, such as when those two additional characters appear in combat to save the main character.

The only thing I didn't like was the menu system. I hate Moghunter's menus, but it's not a big deal if you dig it.

The game sort of froze at the scene with the 3 bandits when Lyste shows up, which kinda sucked since I hadn't saved since prior to the forest maze. Is that where the demo ends?

@Reives: Thank you for your comments :) I'll try to improve my event programming skills to be as good as you. Your game Quintessence really amazed me. And Strawbery here isn't Japanese, Kazeki isn't either ;D

@Diedrupo: I'm very sorry for the bug, but it shouldn't happen if you wait for the messages and not pressing the button so fast. I'll fix it ASAP. The demo ends after you defeat a boss, not there. About the menu, we don't have an RGSS scripter to make an original menu system, so we borowed Moghunter's menus and modified it a bit. Thank you so much, Diedrupo!

@Speedpaws: It's a big encouragement for us to hear your opinions. I will upload the game in one piece as you advised ASAP. Thank you..

@xephyr14: Thanks, we are waiting for more comments after you finish the game.

Heheh, thanks, I'm flattered. :) And ahh, I see. I have mistaken the username for his real name.

I agree with Diedrupo; there are a few other games with promises of graphics like these, but this is the only one that has something to show for - and very well done at that! It was of inspiration to me as well. And I'm not sure if this is intentional, but kudos on holding the project private until something playable is ready as opposed to hyping with no work done.

One bug I noticed was that in the map near the end where you could go up a cliff and see the ocean (the one with the cat), you can go east through the trees and up to the sky from the south part.

Do you change the battle system? i recall see this project in VGI and you have side view battle system.
But i will download the game soon, this is look so interesting

Dear god.. the anime-esque poses tells me to hit X. I cant force myself to sit through such lamities at the beginning of the game.

@Reives
Actually we wanted to post the beta version of the game which has more events and gameplay but due to the lack of staff members, we can only do this much in a year. Thanks again for pointing out that map bug, how careless of me.

@Lust Dragon
What we posted in VGI is a just a plan for the game's next version. Thanks for your interest  :)

@Brosek
Thank you for the critism.

Personally, I'd love to play and review this, but the fact that you have it in two parts on rapidshare is pretty much the biggest turn off. Please host it somewhere else...ANYWHERE else.

You said that you uploaded it onto a different host, but the link still goes to rapidshare.

Can you please put a link to a different host?

EDIT:
NVM! IM RETARDED..
Downloading now..

Downloading just for the art style, I don't like the DBS but when the game looks this good it probably won't matter.
EDIT: The download from Reives site has two save files on it already, you might want to delete those.
Just played it, not a huge amount of playtime but a lot of fun, even though you used the DBS, it really felt like a professional game mostly due to the incredible graphics and I really liked Erlan for some reason  :afro:

I've never done this before, but this game inspired me to make an informal review. Hope you don't mind. Don't look too deeply into the numbers, they're just what I came up with based on my opinions.

Plot/Dialogue/Characters
From what has been presented in the demo, this would be the game's weak point. Plot wise, not much has been revealed yet. It's hard to say where it will go though. The pacing is off to me at times, moments like being escorted out of the forest, and finding the 3 items without actually doing anything seemed rushed.

Dialogue really stood out to me as needing to be revamped. I don't know if English is your native language or not, but there were numerous grammatical and spelling errors. It also came across as rather forced at times, especially Erlan's opening monologue. The humor parts were quite amusing.

The characters however, do seem charming. There wasn't quite enough content for me to get a strong grasp of their personalities yet, so I was left with just general ideas.

5/10

Graphics
This is by far the games best point. The maps are absolutely stunning and the amount of detail in them is astounding. The character designs are vivid and, like the maps, filled to the brim with gorgeous details. I particularly like Erlan's laughing sprite, though I had wished that it was animated. And I almost forgot to mention one of my favorite parts, the clean and beautiful title screen.

If I were to really be nitpicky about the graphics, there would be three things I'd pick on. in Erlan's standard picture, the eyes seem off to me. I'm not sure if it's that they're too far apart, or that they're kinda looking in opposite directions. Also, the sprites sometimes look a bit stiff. Mostly I noticed this in Erlan's walking around sprite (more the standing still then the moving) but this could just be because I saw his the most. And finally, I'm not fond of the moghunter menus. They kinda clash with the style of the game to me, and aren't really all that attractive to look at.

10/10

Music
I can only assume, based on the credits, that the music is original. Most of it served its purpose well, but the battle music really stood out to me. Not too much to say in this area.

9/10

Gameplay
This was a little hit and miss. It had the typical rpgs elements and was pretty fun to play, but there were areas that could be improved. Like I mentioned in the plot area, the game tends to skip sections at times. I'm curious as to what the solution for the forest was, if one actually exists, as well, it really threw me off to skip getting the items. I'm 50/50 on the paying to save thing. The idea is kinda neat, but it could also get annoying, especially to a money hog like me. Perhaps make it pay-to-heal and free-to-save? But, this is up to you. The jump button was a neat idea, I'm curious as to what you'll use it for in the future.

Battles were relatively balanced, but pretty dull (minus the music like mentioned above.) I kinda wished for something to do besides just attacking, and using the occasional skill (not very often due to low SP)

7/10

Overall, I enjoyed the demo, if even just to stare at the beautiful scenery. I'm curious to see where you will take this project.
