Character above animation RPG XP

Okay this should be quite simple but due to the Internet being full of junk no one needs I haven,t been able to find any clue as to how to solve this one...

The problem I'm having involves a shining animation (a glint of light) on an item so that the player can see that there is something that needs investigating... simple so far.

The issue is I'm using the Half Kaizer template so the character is big, thus when the character is stood in front of the item the animation shows above (height priority) the characters head.

what I need is some way to have certain animations have a lower height priority than the characters (kind of like priorities on tilesets)

any help would be very much appreciated as the game I am working on pays a lot of attention to detail and this problem sticks out like a sore thumb.

It might be easier to just put the glint on the item's sprite sheet.

Or even have the glint as a second event. Since you can't put two events on top of each other in the editor, Just start with a blank event-autostart process that transfers over the item you want it; switch the event page to use the one of the stars or shimmers support graphics.

Or, stick to using battle animations but just flash the target white.

Unless you want to use a really fancy glint. I think this would require putting the player on a higher viewport. I had problems with the tint screen covering stuff that I didn't want.

hmm... will try the target flash thing or sprite sheet.

the idea is, you have to use a camera flash to illuminate certain rooms (figured it would be more interesting than a flashlight) and when you do certain objects glint for a second.

thanks for the help.
