Great game! Loving it so far and with what's built up so far, I imagine when it's complete it'll be quite an impressive game! Unfortunately I'm stuck in the pirate inn were you have to avoid the moving guards. How do I get past the one that keeps stopping to drink? Thanks!

Search the shelves and you'll find a drink that can make people pass out. When the guard is in the direction turning right, put the drink in the shelf he drinks out of and hide. Then the guard will pass out.

Yeah, you can nick stuff off a lot of the shelves in the game. Apart from in towns and shops, you can get all kinds of loot.

And lo, Deun looked upon the Visual Encounters system that HarryE had forged in his name, and he saw that it was good. "Thou hast served me well," said Deun unto HarryE. HarryE replied "You are too kind,"

So, visual encounters. Same as in the overworld but with a slight tweak. instead of erasing the events, they respawn at specific "Spawn points" around the map. If the respawn point is visible to that player (ie, on-screen) then the enemy will not respawn there. This will make it easier for players to wander around a specific map levelling instead of having to leave and re-enter the map every time all the enemies in one particular place are slain. I don't like it when you can see behind the curtain of how a game works like that.

Right now I'm stuck. I just finished the "shoot the pirates" game. Enrique got on the ship and left me behind. And I'm suppose to catch up with them. If I stand on the corner of the dock outside the pirates fort and hit enter Dejack will say something like "I don't have time for sailing". Which makes me think there's suppose to be a boat there but there isn't.

Edit: Nvm, I figured out how to use the rope.
Mind telling me what you did? D: I've been wandering around for the better part of an hour, using that rope everywhere I can think of, and nothing seems to work. x_x I feel dense. XD

But, EXCELLENT game, so far! I love the puzzles, and the mapping. A lot of work went into this, and it shows. I've noticed a few minor glitches here and there, though. In the port town with the heavy fog (I've forgotten the name) one of the roofs off to the right is accessible when it shouldn't be. Also, a few places wherein you have multiple choices, the choice window is cut off. Lastly, yet this was actually before all the other stuff, in the first dungeon, when one of the soldiers is told to stay with Kauggish, if you talk to him while he's standing guard, he has the name of the medic. All in all, though, very solid. I'm immersed in the world. ^_^

Thankyou very much. And thanks for those glitches you mentioned, I'll get right on that.

And yes, you use the rope on the burnt-out torch on top of the pirate fort. Remember to put on your pirate clothes!

I just downloaded and started playing your game. So far it's really good. I just had to ask though, where did you get the music for the San Halso dungeon? I heard it a long time ago; a certain someone I know used to claim he and some friends made it. So where is it really from?

I found a source on the net, made by someone called Grame Norgate, as credited in the game and front page :) I'm glad you're liking the game.

What do you mean by 'certain someone' you know? :S

I'm having trouble in the unerground pirate fortress. I can't go up the ladder because the pirates are throwing boulders down so I have to find another way out. I'm pretty sure I have to use the hammer to open the hatch but the hammer isn't working there.

Go back up, and take a good look at that waterfall.

EDIT: Oh, you mean the hatch just after the raft? Oh, there's nothing there. It's just your brain playing tricks on you... >>; <<;

This game is awesome. I just finished the game and was really impressed. I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

Things to consider: You need a better battle for Enrique.

Bugs: When you have to follow the theif on horseback and you return to the library instead, you see Dejack, Enrique and the mysteries man still there.

I am really enjoying this game but I have been stuck for days at the arrow mini game with Enrique and Mccastro. As an older player, my reflexes are never good enough for these games and I hate that I have to give up a great game because I can't advance. Any tips? Or would anyone be willing to get me past this arrow game if I send a save file? I would really like to continue on!

@patti: You have to aim just in front of the pirates, so that the arrow falls in front of them and hits them as they move forward. But if you really want me to get you past there then that's okay.
