I do have all the latest updates lol. And yes it is possible that it could have been contracted by just being on line. Either way. It connects to EXE files, doesnt show in virus scans and can be copied to other EXE files without notifying the user....

and I cant answer about the last modified dates... my computer didnt let me check when i got infected... I had to go straight for the reboot.

Well, throughout the time I've had this computer I have only gotten one virus... (it was a Trojan). I use this program:

Computer Associates offers Anti-Virus, Anti-Spy, and Pop up blocker.

Try searching their virus information center:

(It seems like you can get a free virus scan)

Well, my idea is that never trust these projects. Unless you read on the thread to see if people have tested, saying whether it's good or something. This way, it's more safe. Yes, I know people have said that. I don't know but you can't trust the internet. What I have also heard is that some fcked idiots (sorry for my language) out there are giving away *full free* RPG Maker XPs but from what I've seen, most are trojans/worms. So I guess the best way to get projects/RMXP is to either buy it, or use the trial from Enterbrain, and for projects/demos, use the ones that people have used with reviews. My point.

nod32 is the best handsdown, but dont relie on your AV, relie on how you act on the net!
norton is crap, because it complety slows down the computer, nod32 uses less than 30megs of ram and does spyware/virus/malware.

also if you get a virus, you are screwed, you MUST reformat.
