I don't think there is anything wrong with this forum, honestly. I'm a rather new member, so we know that the forum pulls in new members. As for the game development thing. You can't really force people to make and complete games. Yeh you could get them to post a thread about the game they are working on, but maybe the reason they haven't posted a thread about it is cause they don't think they have enough to post about (*cough* me *cough*)

we could bring back the workshops (or was is called classrooms?). Help people help themselves. Problem is I think the people who usually lead discussions are tired of leading. Creating threads takes time and planning and being around to respond to them is a lot of responsibility. They also distract people from their own projects. Doing art and writing exercises are all good experience but they aren't any closer to completing their games. Unless the course was in sync with whatever they were working on.
Maybe that's what we should do. Create a weekly game development course. How to plan, write, design ect...
I like this idea, although it sounds like a lot of work. For it to work you'd have to have people who are willing to do it regularly.
I know I would get some use out of it.
This is a fairly unstructured post as I'm about to take dog for a walk xD
but I think maybe we should do something to spice this forum up a bit.
Or maybe the super secret thing that whoever is working on might be the right thing to spice the forum up.
All in all I just think this forum is fine, but maybe needs something to make it even a little bit better.
