There's something I don't get when people talk about Project Natal:
Firstly, everyone says it's unique and magical etc. that it's a breakthrough in technology, yet if I remember right, about 5-6 years ago, didn't we have tge EyeToy from Playstation? And even before that, there was something else but I forgot what it was called. All Natal is doing is refining the idea of it, not creating something completely new, and besides, we haven't had chance to play it yet, so for all we know it could just be a gimmick that doesn't take off.
I think the future of gaming lies within digital distribution, it makes it easier for the creators to hand it out, and cuts out the middle man, meaning they'll make more money from the sales, which could reflect upon the future of game prices, if they're making enough, they'll surely share some of the savings with the customers as an incentive to buy the rest of their games, I mean heck, who DOESN'T like great games at affordable prices?
However, I can see a problem with digital distribution, this being that, well, not everyone will be able to do it, we still have people with 56kb modems, who struggle to download one song from iTunes, let alone these games that range from 4GB to who knows what... (MGS4 was 48GB...), so this, I think, would put off digital distribution until the standard internet speed has been increased, and 56kb no longer exists (We know they'll get rid of it, I mean seriously...)
