Happy Saturday, Chumps and Chumpettes! The deal's back. So everyone calm down and put away your torches.
Project Discussion
To Anywhere has finally been posted. It's by our resident critic, Doctor. He's been working on this thing for quite a while, and it's nice to see he's finally getting down to business with sharing it . There's a 2-3 hour long demo available, so hurry over there, play it, and tell him what you think. It's the least you could do, since he's been such a trooper about reviewing YOUR games!!
MASTER OF THE WIND: ARC V is finally here!!!! Are you excited?? Many people are. If you're new to the series, you should definitely check it out. It's an oldschool kind of game with some really excellent writing. If you're a MOTW veteran, then congrats: you now have something new to get excited about
project suck my dick is causing some waves. It's a nsfw troll game. I wouldn't recommend either clicking on the link above, or ever downloading the game. In fact, why am I advertising it??? Bad Venetia!!!!
RM Discussion
Coyotecraft posed a little introspective on overused Scifi themes, which has netted some both interesting, and amusing, results. If you're planning on dev'ing or are dev'ing a futuristic game, or even if you like playing them, I'd recommend a look-see.
Resource Analysis
The winner of August's HKCP Contest is Berserker, who scored an AMAZING 77 points! He not only submitted a large number of clothing items and hair, but a huge new tileset piece (the very first official thing in the eHKCP!)
In second place is Deebs, who really racked up his score with his amazing little cat-people templates and beautifully done hair and clothing parts.
Both of them will be inducted into the HKCP starting today. Congrats to you both!
The HKCP Contest for September has officially begun. There are lots of workshops that were going in August, so now you guys have a whole new month to start fresh and win some prizes!
While you're in RA, check out Badmonur's Painted Iso Work. It's not RTP, it's not edits, it's all-original stuff, and it's really quite beautiful. You can't really use any of it, but it's still worth checking out so maybe some of his crazy art skills'll rub off on you for inspiration
Script Analysis
CanadaATW has released his Visual Armor System V 2.0 for RMXP. It's a vast improvement over the old one, and if you like your sprites visually changing gear, then you should head on over there and pay him a comment.
This topic's a little old, but if you haven't seen it yet, check out Dargor's Bestiary for RMVX. It's really pretty, easily customizable, and works very nicely. It hasn't gotten all the attention it deserves, so I figured I'd shuffle along a few of you to go check it out
General Discussion
What was it like, the first time you did something? Anything? Tell us all about it. We've seen some pretty amusing stories so far.
Have any magic cards you feel like getting rid of? Would you like to stroke Despain's -- er ... Ego? Give him some magic cards already so we can stop hearing about it.
Apparently, the Knights Templar want a crapload of money from the vatican or some B.S. Opine about it here.
The Symposium
Dissonance, one of the Symposium's more mouthy and bitchy patrons, has piqued yet another debate. This time, it's about Child Sexuality. The topic has kind of gone off about teenage sexuality, but it's still worth looking at if you have an opinion about the current social climate revolving around children and their innate sexual quirks.
This one's old, too, but since the political front has been warming up in America, go to The *Official* 2008 US Presidential Election Debate to spout off your opinions on Obama bin Laden and John McSame. Ignoring my terribly played puns, of course. Hopefully you can be wittier than me.
On that same political note, Buster came up with the debate on Dirty Money, and whether or not candidates should accept money from somewhat seedier sources. Tell him what you think on the subject.
Design & Development
Swapping to Dump Mode features some of Mascarpone's art. His control over vectors is impressive. Also, he bribed me to advertise with this sexy little poop avatar you see to your left. Well, he didn't really bribe me so much as I just felt like showing some love.
There's a bunch of other shit I'm sure I left out, but I'm a busy woman!!!!!
See you next week, kids.
