If Square-Enix would be making a remake of the final fantasy classics for the PC and they would be lazy, they would be using RPG-MakerAceJP said:I think a proffessional game can be made via rmxp.

Nods with Destined, nods with Near.![]()
But if some one could pull off 3d graphics on the rmxp, first of all would the color be alright and also would there be a major lag on the game due to having to load such a large file of the model? and if some one magicly pulled this off, could they use any kind of 3d file (like .MDX or .MDL or .OBJ or also milkshape) or would there be limitations to that also?
Nod's with Sharktooth XD.what about me?? lol
It doesn't have near limitless possibilities for 2D games. The lack of pixel movement and effective instance detection is probably the biggest barrier that keeps RMXP from being nothing more than an RPG MAKER (which is *gasp* what it was designed for). RMXP also doesn't pre-load objects (they're created on the fly when they're available on a map) and this slows down the program when a large number of objects are present.soavifox said:RMXP has near limitless possibilities for making 2d games. It can make plenty of other style games, but certain games like side-scrollers are near impossible to EFFECTIVELY.
