Swaying Hanging Shark

Ok so I found in my resources this Hanging Shark by St3v0 and thought to myself; "Hey whats with a hanging shark that doesn't moved?" So I made this little character set from it.

Now you can have the cliche hanging shark anywhere you want in your game.

Nice, havent tried it in a game though. By the looks of it, all you've done is moved the shark over one pixel in the animations. The shark doesn't seem to swey at all?
 
2 pixels actually :tongue: but if you think about it, it's a heavy shark so it would take a mighty stiff breeze to make it sway. If you or anyone else wants it to sway wider i can modify it to do so :wink:

well, if it's going to sway, it'd make more sense if it'd tilt slightly.

and as a sidenote, this is from the era of stevo's life where almost nothing he did meshed with the rtp. if you're willing to do a little work, you could edit the shark so that it wouldn't look so jarring with the rest of the graphics.
 
If you're going to edit it further I suggest reducing the contrast on the shark a tad and replacing the black outline with a dark shade of blue.

You're right I was looking at it while I made the slight sway and it didn't look right. I may have a way to fix it. I'll put a higher sway on it making it and eight frame sway so it's not so jerky of a movement.

I'll lighten it up. Had to darken it up since for some reason the original addon had a slight transparency to it.
 
I love the idea but the animation seems too fast and repeative =\
Perhaps try to extend it to 8 frames to make it smoother and look less repeative?
 
@Xaixis: Im just doing it with turning Stop Animation on, it's the same effect. If I'll make it as an event movment and make it slower then it would be even less smooth.
