Shareware, YES but a commercial game? Hell you didn't even do that hard work! YES HARD WORK! Music, Art, Scripting. Unless you rewrote the game's script and made all original handling added Original music (100%) and all original artwork then it's not your game! It's your's AND enterbrains.
Commercial Product (And since I just had this on a test in Game Design) means products made by a person or group of peoples that form an organization or group that dose not infringe on copyright laws of outside work or resources.
This means that unless enterbrain was actually part of your game then you don't have rights in my opinion to use the RTP. YES you bought commercial rights to the system which is mainly the system and the scripts but the RTP is pushing it. That was mostly meant as a templet and a demo for you to use.

are you saying that its not hard work to make a game with this engine?
it is hard to make a good game no matter what you are using!
i guess you only see the idle craps that these beginners make and call themselves game developers!
also you should be able to use the rtp in a commercial project!
simply put its like a starter pack that you buy thus you can use it for whatever.

I would rather buy a game with solid RTP graphics and good RTP edits than some bad original work that doesnt mesh well anyways. people seem to think that crappy original graphics somehow trump RTP. not so much. its pretty unreasonable to expect an ambitious project to have completely original graphics, just look at where Venetia's at with her game. While its great, its utterly time consuming. just because the RTP is used, doesnt mean work hasn't been put into it, which is the assumption that most people have.
RTP, custom graphics, completely custom music...it ALL means SQUAT w/o one thing..a GOOD STORY!!

I'll take a completely 100% RTP game with a good, solid story over a 100% custom game with a shaky and shallow attempt at a story every day of the week. The whole POINT of an RPG is to tell an engaging story. If it bores me I don't CARE how pretty the freakin game is!!!
