edit: mine was trying to be the same style as tana's... but mine was just a crappy replica... Linkin T is definately the man for the job...

edit (again): although... i still feel i should show what i had made in this few mins... gimme a min...

edit (YET again): yes... i was using tana's outline as a base(s)... the side one was the one i am/was workin on...

The feet look odd when it's showing it's back. He'd be floating if his feet were like that, or standing on his tip-toes, and the side view does look a bit squished. :3

yes, it does look like he's on his tip toes, all i did was alter the front so that it looked like the back, the side view is squishy cuz it was directly in the middle of the developement stage, but, i know when i dont stand a chance. its artists like tana, showkaiser, Hailey T and Linkin T (and others) that make me strive for the next level of my skill... kudos to you great artists out there...

I'm glad you feel inspired by all the artists, and I say keep working on it. I don't know what I'm doing with things like templates and spriting, so I won't take a whack at this lol. I think so long as you take the advice given to heart and keep at it, the end result will be more than awesome. :D

Tana said she was too busy to take this up also, so does this mean that I can use her template as a base? It'd be the best anyone could do, and even so, anything below that would probably be rejected.

Yes this project is still open to those who are willing since I have not recieved any feedback from Tana on a definite yes/no answer regarding her completing this template. Currently she is very busy with other things at the moment so it may take some time for her to work on it.

The outline she provided is the base that I am looking for (as I have previously stated), and as far as the other attempts go, I do sincerely appreciate the efforts on the author's part...however they were not exactly what I am looking for.

An hour? Didn't you just say it would take you 24 hours for perfection? Just the down animation would be 1/8, and should take 3 hours. Oh well, good luck. Can't wait to see the final version.

Also let me bring to everyone's attention that this isn't a public template atm. But if the spriter must show progress and/or the final product, he/she should take one frame from each row and post it...not the entire sheet.

If the spriter is to post the entire sheet, then I will not use it...considering what I said previously. Once my game is completed then it may be possible to distribute the full base template accordingly. I am not giving goodies for nothing

EDIT: Full templates can be sent to me via pm, or my msn address which is in my profile.

You seem to have misinterpreted what I said. I said FULL TEMPLATES (completed 8-way templates) should be submitted to me privately via pm or my msn address found in my profile. Templates (one or two frames) that people are currently working on can be submitted within this thread for viewing, critique and consideration.

As long as you have not completed the template thus far, it is OK to submit what you have here. Also this idea can be found here:

okay... I think I would rather wait and complete it fully... I've changed my mind and am now determined to get this done, and to your liking at that. Btw, do you like Tana's or Linkin_T's temp better? Got 8 frames done, 48 more to go!
Edit: Okay... I'll be using linkin_T's as it is what is in the actaul game, and therefore the rips you did will be ALOT more useful... Tanas, I only have the front of, and the style in which she did it, although easy to move the body parts around, I can't get a real grasp on the side veiw with the style it's in. It'll take me longer, but have a better quality. Expect this done within 1 and a half weeks time.
