I can see just fine. In fact in the other game you made CERU it was a lot scarier when you could just see the character and not much else. Don't know if there's a monster chasing behind you.

The police station was pretty dark (and there were portions that intentionally cast shadows on so that you could not see completely), but you should be able to see most of the game.

If you have trouble seeing, try fullscreen.

Awesome Bro

I honestly think the lighting is fine! I agree with what you said about the low shade setting the mood, and it certainly would ... IF you had reason to. It's hardly going to scare someone if it's just your character walking round in that light and nothing actually happens without a cutscene. You need to really think about creating scary and loud sound effects, along with perfect moments to shove the moments into play. The lighting + that would be a great outcome. I'd hit it.

For the game I'm writing an original music score using mp3s instead of midi's this time, so its going to be special. As you go through the game you may here noises of something following you, and other creepy things. There is always the threat of something looming in the darkness, so I want to create an atmosphere in which high tension is created. When the monster appears, it should come in with a bang, surprising the player.

How does that sound?

That sounds awesome.
Looking forward to this, i'm just about to play Crepsuculum
because i heard a lot of good thing about it.

You also inspired me to start a survival horror of my own, and it's going to have a lot of select-your-adventure moments instead of actual gameplay.
Like the character moves a lot on its own, and stops when a scene comes up, and choices are displayed on the screen. Like a dynamic, interactive movie. ;)

Enough about that, i'm looking forward to play this!

Oh great! Great, really great!

;) I'm looking forward to it. Just make sure it's not to boggled down by "select your adventure moments." But very cool! Sound's like a pretty daunting project!

Yesss. ;)

Well, there's going to be like kind of modes.
There's the select your adventure mode in a few minutes, then a few minutes of gameplay etc.
To not have too much of each you know. :s
Oh yeah, can you let me know how you did your menu in Crepu..Crepusuculum?
Thanks. :thumb:

My personal advice is that you don't have minutes of select your adventure, but rather have gameplay, then an instance of select your adventure. But only instance. Otherwise, your game will be severely bogged down.

I had it done for me, by Hima. ;)

Hmm, that sounds okay..
I was originally gonna let it be a CYOA game but if you say so. :-/

It can be, but if you give the player too many choices you will be overwhelmed.

But do whatever YOU want to do.

Not going to have too many options or scenes. :p
Although, this has gone far too off topic.
Looking forward to the game. ^^
