Use his "modified" files, just downlaod file, move the pictures to yoru game graphics/pictures folder and it will start working, this isn't the default (i think) but with this modified files you can re-modify to whateva you want or prefer (as I did), good luck
 
This is one of the greatest scripts I've ever seen in RMXP.org, it's really cool and useful, but have 2 small probs(Hey! Don't stare me like that! There is no such a thing as perfect!), one is that if you are at a BIG ASS map it will lag as hell and if your map have a semi-transparency effect the mini-map won't recognize it and will not display as a passable tile though. The only reason that I don't use it, is because I have lots of big maps in my game and lag isn't a nice thing in a game, usually if it does make the game crash sometimes.

Im really confused, i've put the code in, i have all of the images its just when i start my game no minimap shows up? why?

Hey guys, the picture background you can improve it yourself on how ever you prefer, either as transparent, opac or whateva

Now what I'm wondering is, did anyone found a way for prevent the map to re-load every time??, because lag on the begining of a map, is kinda understandable, but lag every time we access to menu and return and such (specialy me who have map in background of menus ...), so I was wondering if anyone knows or found a way for prevent this issue?

Because for what I saw this mini map is the best one around here I saw so far, only the unpassable areas wich are showed as "holes" on map (like trees) and the lag are the issue with it....
 
Just one edit I would love to see with this. I finally edited it to the way I wanted. Instead of activating a switch to turn the minimap on/off. Could you edit the script so that at the touch of a button, the minimap would show up? And if you pressed the button again the minimap would disappear? This would sure be a lot more helpful then called by a switch. Thanks.

Thanks Tori for the help. But is their a way to make the minimap stay put in the position it's in until the button is pressed again. The way you have it is when you press the button it shows but as soon as you release the button it goes away. I wanted it so until it's pressed again. Hope you can fix that. Thanks in advance!
