I guess I'm going to commit to this. I made a post about considering it a few days ago. However, I now have my planning pretty much completed, so I'm in.

Now, if I don't finish it, someone track me down and punch me, okay?

One question, the game can be in any genre and not RPG only right? If so, I'll join :)

I guess thats ok...if you do it with rpgmaker xp..... right?

Is there a weight limit for the game?... like... 50mb... 100mb....

It has to be made with RMXP, but it doesn't have to be an RPG.

There's no need for a limit unless it is absolutely outrageous. I don't see a reason why any game would be mover 100mb.

some people like to load their games with ripped mp3's.

it makes the file size so large it isn't funny x_x

I'd love to do this, but I don't have time to head out a four-hour game project.

I could help someone else though... Maybe... A contest is a great way to stimulate a community!
I've been wondering why you guys haven't done another since Black Tuesday..

Got Another question!

Exactly how do you want us to give credits?
ingame
in a note which comes with the .rar file
or is it something totally different?

I think ingame should be the best way to give credit... if you use a note that comes with the .rar file, most people wont even bother to see it
Ingame you could use characters or diferent locations to name the creators of your resources....or at the intro/ending sequence

The best way is to show credit is during some sort of intro that must be watched, that way people will actually pay attention.  No what I'm sayin'?

Doesn't matter how you give credit as long as you do. A lot of these questions are pretty detailed over little things that don't have much to do with the contest. Come on guys, just get a-makin'. :)

I'm in. Two questions:

1. (I know you're sick of these) If I create a prequel to a game currently in progress, is the storyline banned?

2. How do you compress your .exe files to .rar or .zip?
