i guess i will rush work on the short game i started working on at the start of feb.

Since we have until March 1st, we're doing some major edits to the story, attacks, and music in the game. Maybe even more. I will be sure to send you the updated version before the new deadline.

Even with this extension I doubt I'll make it, so I'm pulling out - especially since I'm not too fond of VX any more - BUT I will finish this game I'm making and post it sometime... once I figure out how to even out the difficulty. Having a custom  stat-raising system makes testing enemy difficulty tricky. x.x

Oh and not to mention it's barely moved in gameplay progress for weeks. :V Lazy. Lazy. Lazy.

You probably can't tell us exactly but do you have a general audiance or age group we should aim the game at. Like if you have or want younger kids to play the game it might be better t have no bad launguage.

Bad language is fine, as long as its not overused to the point where it's annoying. We're adults here.

Just checking again, we turn it in by midnight tomorrow, right? And does it matter whether or not we encrypt the project?

I think the project must not be encrypted. However, you can send both encrypted and unencrypted version if you want the members to download the former one, and the judge to download the latter. Des said something along the line somewhere in this topic , I believe

Yup, hima's right. The judges need an unencrypted version, but you can also submit an encrypted version for the community to download.

Right now, it's 4 am on the morning of the first. The deadline was set to be at midnight tonight. There's a good chance that I won't be around tonight, though, and if that's the case, you guys have an extra day to finalize things, zip them up and submit them. The deadline will officially be whenever I come online and check my PMs after tonight at midnight, essentially being the first time I check my messages on the second.

So if there are any major bugs, we'd be able to fix them if we had to (more than going into the editor, it's more to hold control to walk through objects). It's either that or, if we find a bug, we give the game an automatic 0.

I don't see why anybody would have a problem with not encrypting their game.

Looks like I'm not going to make this deadline either...  :sad:

I probably have about 3 hours playtime but no ending and it feels like it's at it's alpha stage right now.  It's a shame cos' I always wanted to be in a competition.  At least I know I wouldn't have come in the ranked places (1 and 2).

Meh. I probably won't win, I can see a lot of cutscenes and gameplay that I can make a lot better now. But hey, I tried, and I figured out a lot of cool stuff along the way  :wink:
