New User Profile Pages

Would it be possible to add a custom block to the profiles that lists any resources we have uploaded to the Download manager, possibly grouping them by category (windowskins, character sets, autotiles, etc)? While an expandable menu tree would be really cool, I'd be happy with just a listing. I started to try to make a block myself, but I'm not real happy with it and I have no idea how to get it to update.

The new user profile pages don't say when a user has last been online. I posted in a project thread, but the author hasn't posted in a while and I can't tell if she's been online lurking or not. A link to the old profiles at least would solve this since all links now take you to the new profile whether that's what you want to see or not.
I have a question, comment, whatever...
Is is possible so somehow have a slideshow or pics on the users profile?
For me, I would post my art, but for others I am sure they could find pics to put in there, like personal pics, or ones that they like or something.
Have an actual photo-album page for that purpose.
if that is all possible, anyway, that would be nice.

You know how in the discussions tab of the users profile, you can create your own topics?
I created a userbar request station in mine, and was wondering if I had mod powers over my own topic in my own profile.
that would be a great thing if it is not already there (I dont know yet because another member has not posted for me to find out if I can delete their posts)
It would be so nice! as soon as a request is done, delete the posts that were involved so that the topic is always clean.
anyway, the profiles look good, after I figured out how to use the editor!
Also, I do realize that it is new, and there are still bugs in it, but I found that the editor kept going to a "Page cannot be displayed" page. I figured out though that for most of those, the refresh button fixes it, but sometimes it did not.
Also erk, just as another suggestion, I would make some sorta announcement on the forum so that everyone knows that they have these new profiles, I know that this topic has done some things, but my forum neigbors in both directions havn't done anything to theirs. that is true for a lot of the people that I have seen.
I dont know if you can make them more well known, but that would be nice to be able to see more peoples profiles filled out, they are interesting to see!

I had another bother... the profile page, where you can upload a file for a pic... 100kb is very small, and it is hard to get a decent pic that is that small (took me a while to anyway, and I am good at those kind of things!)
and when I tried to upload a picture into the profiles background, none of the pictures that I tried worked...

Woah kraft, if you are going to make that many suggestions in one post it would be really nice if you could put them as a list or something. It is hard to read it as a big tangential essay.
1) There is an image gallery plugin supposed to come out in the next edition. Until then, it is far from high on my list of things to program.
2) you have mod powers in your discussion forum. You can't edit other users' posts but you can do most else.
3) There are already several announcements: besides this one, every user has two links in their linkbit. One has to be pretty inobservant to have not noticed the profile system by now. When the rules and system are finalised there will be another announcement to that effect. However, you overestimate the power of announcements to publicise something.
4) if you have troubles making a 300x300px image smaller than 100kb, you are probably doing something wrong. Assuming you're using a jpg, turn up the compression a bit - but even at minimum compression it should not be 100kb. If you are uploading fullcolour png's, why? Use an internet file format.

Is there a way to keep track of someone else's profile besides saving it as a favorite and randomly checking it? Let me rephrase that. Is there a way to subscribe to another user's personal discussion topics, i.e. user's request stations. I just posted a reply in someone's request station and I would like to know if there is a way to be notified when there is a reply.

An update just came out for the software, and I will install it today. If that doesn't fix the big issues, I have been learning some SQL, and I might try editing the queries in the profile system so that it just uses avatars straight from the forum. I think I have a loose idea how to do that... but we will see.

How would you like it if that was a block you could add to your own profile, that listed your subscribed profiles in the order of which was most recently updated? Or should it be something in the Subscribed Threads area, or something that sends an email? The latter two would be a fair bit tougher.

Having it as a block would work. It would be far easier to save my profile as a favorite and check it every so often rather than saving everyone else's. That's what I currently do with my user cp.
Also, I noticed that the profile pages keep opening up new browsers. Is it possible for it to open in its own browser when clicked on from the quick links section?

Can you play videos? Like embed ones from Bebo, MySpace, YouTube... if not, it would be a cool little feature. Maybe have it in a new block.
Could you also tell me how to do this in your own Blank Content Pages?
