My First Title!!! UPDATED! PLEASE READ!

I think your title screens are lacking substance, content, and color co-ordination.  A minimalist title screen looks good when pulled off right.  Keep practicing though, maybe look around for inspiration at some of the title screen request threads, or Google some photoshop tutorials for some tips.

      It has no detail...looks like a 3 second made title....It would look lots better it you addedd some text effect....and change the background to another color that actualy looks like it supposed to blend into black...change it like normal red....then change the text you did for rpg...and make it have like a black thing surround it..like bubble letters....give it some blur.....Try to put in some shadow on the and symbol...then after that do something more with the black thing that is behind bret....I mean what is that thing??
Get rid of it!! and put something like a sword...or a weapon of some sort... there....

I think that will make it look like it's actualy something...

That shouldn't be a problem.  Community Colleges will often take people very young as long as you have your parents actively trying to get you in.  Summer Courses are where most Community Colleges are more open to young kids joining for a class or two.  I've seen 12 year olds take summer courses at community colleges and they'll accept basically anyone usually.  It's not like regular colleges where you have to apply and wait for acceptance.

Then get a free program like the GIMP, Paint.NET, etc. Or download the trial, anything better than MS Paint works.

Also, take a look at other good titles (like syphonmax and co.'s request station) and try to see what they did.
C&C, try and have more effects than just a regular font, and get a better background.

~R~ made me a REALLY cool title screen!  Just because I have one now, dosen't mean I'm just going to give this thread up, though...  Im going to keep listening to your advice, and keep trying untill I get good!!!  I'm off to make my next title screen!!

If you want a program like Photoshop or something...well, my school has it. Yours might have at least some image editor. My elementary school had Flash MX as well. It's not Photoshop, but it gets the job done better than Paint.
