"Cool olbies" pass off frankensprites as their own work all the time and often "forget" to apply all the proper credit. I guess I dont get the double standard, and I dont get why you all are being so hard on this guy.
In fact, this is the first time I've EVER seen someone be forced to credit the specific original RTP character and I see RTP edits all the time. It kind of goes without saying, if its obviously an RTP style sprite (and it is, cus they all have the same kind of face) then it's using parts of RTP characters. You know, 1+1=2? I dont see why the specifics are so nessecary on the hair even if I get the other thing(even though Seen's sprite is just a paste of theif on a silver haired sprite that some japanese guy did).

The irony...was telling Tana on IRC that this was an edit and not an original. Frankly it doesn't take a genious, anyone really is able to tell by just looking at the sprite. Now if you want to get further in depth, zoom in on it.

But anyway,

I Recolored the RTP Prisoner's hair and put it on a character set by Seen.


Not just a recolour of a RTP character. Even though I've not really heard of Seen, if its someone elses then its gotta be credited.

Also, where are these other RTP sprites credited to "Cool Olbies"?

I think it's pretty good, he took the best from both worlds, as the body was the best part of one sprite, and the head was the best from the prisoner. I don't think you noticed, but he does kinda give some credit to the rtp prisoner, but not the of the spritesheet of the body. Who cares though, good start for a first sprite, even if it is an edit. I like the hair color, btw, but he does seem to have a leaky left eye.

Well after a long while i learned to sprite and made this:
I made it for someone in request and yeah i decided to potit here since its my first one

That is his orginal post, where he says he made it and he's learnt to sprite.

The whole who cares about who made it atitude you have will pretty much mean you won't get anything you request.
People may do this for fun, but at the end of the day, they can spend several hours going over their work to make it for someone, only to have someone else take it to another board, place it in their game, and don't bother to mention the original artist. Which just 'ain't right'

im sorry i didnt say that i found a link to it on another site but it didnt lead to seens site it led to imageshack sorry lol and the hair is not a edit of that i litterally did that by myself. Iand placed it ontop of the hair already on the sprite which made it look more like it does now lol. but i have learned how to sprite a bit.
Can someone teach me to sprite?

@l3_32: I didn't mean the actaul sprite from seen or whoever it is, I meant the rtp... Besides, I don't request sprites. I know the work that goes into them and I wouldn't want anyone to slave over some for me... I do that myself.

Hey ichabod, you are pretty good at hair recolors. I'm good at clothes, bodies, faces, ect, but, I suck at hair...Eep!
