Monster Hunter Sprite

Hello I am new to all of this and for ages I have wanted to make my own game. One of my favourite games is Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and I have been thinking about making a game set in this world.

I have never done spriting but I have seen a few tutorials and decided to edit a naked man sprite to make him look like he is wearing full Rathalos Armour (If no one has ever heard of Rathalos Armour just do an image search in google :grin: ).

Well this is my sprite, constructive criticism welcome. Thank you.

Wow, to say you're new to spriting, it looks really good, although I think you need to add more contrast, especially on the white/silver part of the torso.

Hello, thank you very much for the feedback, I have edited the sprite today taking your thoughts into account and I think I have done it, please let me know if I haven't.

Well that does look better, I still think you need to up the contrast, specifically on the outlines of the white area, and also I see you have two shades of white/grey, but they're too hard to distinguish.

OK I think I know what you mean. I need to choose 1 different shade of white/grey for the metal areas. For the outline of the white areas what should I do?

Edit: I have looked at the sprite, thankyou very much for your advice but I tried it with more contrast and I prefered it without. Thankyou anyway :grin:
