Just thought I'd put up some of my work and keep it for future reference. It's not particularly good yet but I needed the sprites for my game, and I don't think they turned out terribly. They're mostly made off of Monta battlers, because (obviously) that's what I use in my game.
This is the first one... here's the battler, made by Monta:
