What I am Looking for
Ok, I am wanting someone here (who is rather good with music
) to take one of my poems, and turn it into a song that I can use in my game, Deo Capax.
Now, I know this may seem an odd request, but I was listening to some music the other day, and it occurred to me 'this would be sweet in my game!' However, I really am not looking to pay huge licensing fees (I plan to sell my game), for a single song, nor am I wanting to pay a ton of royalty fees once the game is completed. So that's the reason for this request!
I would like someone to take my original poem and interpret it into song as they see fit. Pretty much leave it open to their discretion.
Certain....Details!
Length: Around 2-2:30 minutes. Non-Looping
Format: MP3, at a rate of no less than 128kbps
Vocals: I would prefer softer female vocals for this, but if it sounds really good, male vocals would be acceptable as well
Mood: This is a horror game, so something that would fit along those lines.
Purpose: As was stated several times, this is for my horror game, as the main theme that will (more than likely) be played over the end credits.
Style: I would think something like the main song from Silent Hill Three, or something heavy on classical instrumentation. Sorry, but no J-Pop :P
You may feel free to slightly edit the words (Although I would like to approve of any large changes) of the poem to suit the needs of the song in terms of flow, and making it sound better, etc. Also, you can repeat certain lines of the song over (much like a chorus) as you see fit.
Basically, this is heavily being left up to interpretation. Mostly because I'd like to see what people can come up with, while still following the main theme (Horror) and use my poem.

Well, I'm offering to pay for a lot of the major requests (As can be seen in my recruitment thread for Deo Capax) but I'd like to get away with offering other things for this song. I can host files for you and your projects/whatever (Basically give you a subdomain on one of my sites and give you FTP access to it and unlimited space pretty much)...or I can help with proofreading your game/projects, etc. I'm sure we can work something out.
