I rather liked the outline and gradient interior of the first one, as well as the placement of the green swirl behind the O in note. I didn't like the green swirl itself though, for that I would come up with an actual icon representative of the game, rather than a generic swirlygig. The placement is spot on though and really just guides the eye very nicely.
Also while I said I like the outline and gradient I like it conceptually, not the way you executed it. The outline was too thick and too white, and the gradient in the interior definitely too busy. Try to choose something representative of the game, once again, which I can't make many recommendations on since you didn't mention anything about the game.
Just the words "Dusk Note" evoke a lot of images. I think of rising moons, the soft, warm colors of the evening, perhaps a lantern, candle or firelight, writing or musical instruments, etc. These could be incorporated (or anything relevant to the game) into your choice of color scheme, texture, and the icon. I hope that gets you chewing on it a bit.
