Someone said black metal is about fast drumming, and I brought an example or valid proof in the form of a song that contains proofs that could support what I was stating.
It is mature... What you just did now wasn't mature and unnecessary which is the same kind of post that kept us going back in the Black Metal thread.

I'll repeat myself, since that's a ridicolous reason the debate was groundless.

Compare the ratio of insults to valid argument and you'll find the ratio to be around 1:25, respectively. Meaning 1 insult for every 25 valid points. Yes I pulled that number out of my ass, but that's not the point.

I still think it was sort-of blown out of proportion. I didn't see any real insulting, other than someone stating someone else is not knowledgeable on the topic at hand. Regardless, it took up a few lines and was done with.

I didn't know a few 'personal attacks' nullified everything else in the post, much less that "YOU DO NOT KNOW METAL I ADVISE YOU LOOK INTO MUSICAL THEORY CHECK OUT ARGRYEEN AND ERGHEINHAMMEL AUSCHWYGEOGRE" is even a personal attack. No, caps lock does not make it more hostile.

Yeah. You're not turning this thread into the same debate.

Music is an art form. There is no absolute truth and no proof. I'll tell you what, I will reopen the thread this evening. I see absolutely no point in a thread that allows for no opinions but those complimentary to the OP, but we'll see how it goes. As to the first point, I suspect we're better off with a new thread about it, because I don't want to delete several pages of fucking off-topic posting.

This sort of behavior is exactly why the first thread got closed.
