How do any of your examples have to do with how the staff views and controls flaming and trolling? It sounds to me like you have a problem with how thin-skinned some members are, which, I'm sorry, but we have no control over.

Aw come on I was nice in my last post, I made semi-amends!

But yes the staff (myself ironically included) do kid-gloves the forum. Considering most of the people here have the maturity of 14 year olds, it's warranted I think. I realize 'this is god-awful, please fix the glaring mistakes' is a real criticism, and can help fix things, but the way most people here think, it's just a direct slap to the face. A way to AVOID pissing the random children off is to phrase that same thing as 'the game has potential [despite probably having none, but kids like sugar-coating], but at the moment, there's so much broken material, graphical glitches, and horrid writing that it's hard to do anything but notice them, I'm sure you know where they are, and this game could be great if you could fix them'. Now, I know that that almost says 'YOU ARE A GOOD PERSON AND ARE MAKING GOOD THINGS', but they'll usually at least take a little of your criticism away rather than just 'ur just flmaing my gaem is pfrect'.

Sure it's kind of like taking a godamn bullet for these people to get them to take constructive criticism, but at least they're taking it right?

You mask this topic as some sort of 'What's wrong with this place? We can't even speak our minds without fear of censorship' and use it as a soapbox for your own faults and inadequacies. What are they? Actually meant something because most of the crap that's posted and viewed as a flame is deleted. Do I have to find examples like I found for my previous post because I will if I have to.

Now..this was PROBABLY meant in jest. But honestly for someone trying to sound intelligent and make their side known and seen as a real issue, it does a great deal to cut your credibility. That's the thing about sarcasm and jokes online in a text format. Without that 'lolz' it's generally not seen as such.

I overreacted in this thread. I wanted to point out that certain forum rules are a bit hazy in their descriptions and I was hoping something would be changed. When Sketch posted saying that this thread was really about my inner, burning hatred towards the forums and the posters themselves, I flipped out. I didn't mean anything I said, I'm just an normal guy who's out looking to have fun.

Mods, I'm sorry for making your job harder. I don't mean to be a troll, I just try to be different. I want to bring some fun and joy into people's lives because discussion forums are wonderful places to see a wide assortment of colorful people in a different environment.

Consider this my official apology. I have nothing more to say about this topic nor will I post in it anymore. You may close it or delete it as you choose because it holds no more value. ccoa, I apologize for any bitterness in my post as I just wanted to jokingly point out that some moderators delete things without reason but it was uncalled for. Volrath, no harsh feelings. Sketch, I'm sorry for the prolonged debate and the images; it was very immature and I feel that I just reduced myself to a 5th grade level.

Okay, since this is feedback, I'd just suggest one thing to Marcus. And that's to read your post before jumping to the "post" button and questioning yourself: "Would I like to receive this?" and if the answer is different from yes, then don't post.

You're strong tempered and sometimes loose it, even if you want to state interesting points of view, but the problem comes when you don't do it properly.

For example, the "Best CBS" thread... OMG, your post there was awful, first you tried to change someone's point of view (which is impossible) in a wrong way. And then you said: "Oh gosh I really like to piss of idiots" or something.

Overall, you do contributte sometimes, with intelligent arguements, but you should be more respectful, and in the first sign of a person's dislike, apologize and back off...

I'm grateful that you do understand and apologized, that's being a real man

I've deleted the... er, disagreement? Not because it was flaming, before anyone decides to use it as proof, but because it was generally immature and pretty much killed any good this topic might have ever done. Perhaps with it gone we can actually address the point, although I think it is a misconception.

Mods do not go around wholesale deleting posts that ONOEZ it might offend someone. I'll go out on a limb and guarantee it.

Marcus, you're one of my favorite posters, don't change a godamn thing. I delete posts that are spam, if it's a flame, I'll post in response or just edit a snide remark into your post, (if it's both spam and flame [ie, a post saying "I hate you OP"], then I delete it too). I don't know how often someone just deletes crap because it displeases them, but to do that is kind of wrong. Making fun of them and pointing out their inadequacies in a scathing response lets the WHOLE forum see their stupidity, and is thus a better solution. There's nothing that says 'don't do that again' like, 'hey look it's that guy who did that thing' (ie 'hey look, the guy who whipped out his penis in a school assembly, what a fuckup')

But on the other hand, this is a children's forum, you've got to point out specific things to people when they do something wrong, they won't be able to find it by themselves (after all, they posted it, for all intensive purposes that means they probably think it's perfect).

IN CONCLUSION: remain scalding, you're one of my favorite people, and I enjoy the posts you make, both for your wit and your intelligence.

Oh and I found those comics pretty funny, but I'm an asshole too so hey that probably explains it.
