Indie Games s-s-survey?

You there!
Yes, I'm talking to you.

I need your help.
I-if thats okay. If you have the time, that is. Or a kind heart. Whichever is more important. . . T-to you.

Surveys suck, I know, but for something I'm doing, I need to gather information about what people like as far as video games go. It's only really short, have no fear.
Its really easy to open them and look and just figure, "Nah, someone else will do it.", but hear me out here. The more the merrier :thumb:
It'll be greatly appreciated. Fill out if you can, no pressure.

lets do it guise

I hadn't heard of his scenario myself, but you're right that it is a vague term.
I'm talking about games that aren't developed by a major developing company or receiving much financial support.

I can apply that to Bungie and Valve before either studios became runaway successes.

I don't think you will get a fair survey because what everyone calls an indie game is different, Minecraft is commonly called an indie game but a lot of people will disagree because it is now backed by a bajillion dollars plus Minecraft is now a big console name.

League of Legends was started from near-nothing, but now that's massively huge.

Tripwire interactive is a studio started by teens with a dream, they have released a few FPS games and have been publishing stuff.

I can't really fill in the survey when I know it would be giving you data that would only correlate with an audience who shares my definition, is Meat Boy an indie game still? Or Runescape?

"What is an indie game?" I'd go and say it was made by a team/individual who at the time was operating without publisher funding, usually have complete rights to the IP involved and is rarely larger than 8 people.

Finished the survey.
Well I think they are rarely larger than 32 people and they all need to have acquired funding from part-time jobs.
