Felt Like Sharing a Sad Story

@Faeroe: This doesn't automatically mean it's made up, hence it could be based on a real case, but ...

@Ammom: ... it sounds very made-up, nevertheless ... I mean ... what jerk do you have to be to do something like that ? The true thing that's sad about the story is that the guy replaced his brain with a nutshell ... sorry, my opinion ...

I get these regularly on my MySpace. Infact, this same exact story was given to me the other day. I'm not saying you or your friend made it up, I'm saying that it was made by someone else. Hate to burst your bubble dude. :-/

Yes let's continue arguing about the validity of the story ':|. She posted it because she thought it was sad, and it should be left as that. The reason why she posted it in the first place wasn't for anyone to dissect it's morals and/or rationale (which most of you have been doing).

Give it a rest already.

Well, it's a sad and touching story, but as everybody else has already said, the chances of it being true are slim and if it was then the guy wasn't too bright which kinda deafens the original mood :/.

Yeah....probably shouldn't nominate him if it's real..... Who's going to receive it? His girfriend that survived and watched him die? :/. I would have just swirved in S's and, well, continued on the road :/.

He was on a HIGHWAY. Highways generally have many cars moving at high speeds. We know he was going fast enough for the crash to kill him. Assuming he was going with the flow of traffic, everyone was going at a similar speed. If he slows down, the car behind him rear ends them and they both die. It would be far easier and safer to just pull into the shoulder, then come to a stop.

Maybe forget the fact that there was the possibility that he could've lived (had the story been real) and just remember that there are people in this world that you can't take for granted. So next time, hug your mum when you're about to go out and drive in a potentially dangerous area. Tell your friends how much you appreciate and love them. Try not to mock what's in the story, instead, try to see that it has an important message that it could do us a little good to follow...

...I dunno. Just a thought.

We know it lacks validity Dark Zero -_-. He was just saying that if you ignore the validity issues that you can derive good meaning from it, which is true.

Hmm I was hoping I said that in a way that showed that I understood his point but chose to ignore it, but apparently not. Besides, you can teach people lessons without making up stories to prove it. A waste of my time. Just say "ummmm tell people how much you love them" and be done with it.

Maybe JonoSasson's right. Perhaps it was just to prove a point.
Maybe the guy told the girl at the last moment or something. He might've not been thinking when it came to possibilities of what he could do. I'm not sure how I'd react if I were in that situation.
That's if the story's true, 'course.

@Ammom: Well, he wasn't under any kind of pressure, since he could still control the bike, couldn't he ? So he could've easily drove around any obstacles ...

Ah yes, it's so romantic to give her your helmet and tell her you love her than to try to steer the bike to safety. Because clearly a helmet and positive sentiment would save her much more than avoiding the crash completely ;).

Yes guys, let's pull apart every little story that has a message to it!

Warning! Contains indecent language!
Cinderella...she could've snuck out to that bloody ball, but she didn't because she was scared that her bitch of a stepmother might beat her with a brass spoon...instead she just waited for her fairy godmother (probably a hooker) to 'miraculously' appear and turn her into a shallow slut...only then did she have the courage to go against her stepmother's rule OBVIOUSLY because her stepmother is ugly and go to the ball/orgy....

Guys how stupid does that sound? VERY stupid. And that's how this thread is starting to sound...

..but then again, I did have fun writing that little analogy...

That story is fake, just like any of the other bulletins in myspace your friend found that from.

As per significant meaning, I can't find any. As any intelligent person already said here, the death was completely unnecessary except to serve a dramatic purpose and make the story all boo-hoo sad.

Sweet story and yes i think it would be likely for him to crash because being in a situwation like that I don't think one would really be thinking straight. There were ways he could have lived but he most likely couldn't think of them.
Its a very famous chain letter that I seem to get more than 2ce a year of yes the story is fake unless someone has the article?
Other than that nice story
