Fangames

To be honest I REALLLLYYY dislike fangames specially with the ones with FINAL FANTASY : BLAH BLAH BLAH since it is so over used...

And I don't want anymore I don't even want to download things like it since most of them are just badly made...

But I do understand using this certain character's face for my orig character type of thing because not everyone can make everything custom so I tend to ignore them sometimes but if it get too many pages I get curious.

In order for me to play a fangame I guess is if the story makes sense and the graphics doesn't look like some jumbled recolored thing. I mean Look at Bluebird's Illusion, an FMA fangame that was so well made I want to learn Chinese just to play it.

I admit I do want to make a fangame of FMA though

I'll be honest, bluebirds illusion is what I think of when I think about a horrible storyline, it destroyed a lot of the characters (Ed was such a wimp)

But yeah I started making an FMA fangame although it got put on hold due to lack of sprites, it even featured video from an OVA which takes place from a first person perspective and more info can be found here:

The story was written by the creators of the full metal alchemist series, not me so I won't have the same problem as bluebirds illusion (although graphics wise bluebirds illusion was good)

Yeah agreed. Not that I hate the Fanfics, but each recurring Final Fantasy game had something a little different. Sure, FF7 and FF9 had a similar Battle System, but the Limit Breaks in FF9 were different than in 7. The skill names were also named a bit differently(In FF7, fire was Fire1, Fire2, and Fire3. FF9 was Fire, Fira, Firaga. Also yes I realize I'm comparing 3D games to a 2D engine :P) Same thing some fangames can do. Change around the skill names, but don't take away the actual feel of the game, as that, of course, is important.

Blue Bird's Illusion is a Visual Novel Game (heck, if you don't understand chines e you won't appreciate it ;_ But I like ED in there tbh, I love how the storyline flow (the tea alchemist looked like a joke ending too and it was the only one that has a happy ending ) and really loved it Specially the Pride!Ed ending. Ocean-X Is interesting though, making the game look like the original that a lot of people made it think it was an official release.

I was going to make it (And bluebirds illusion was translated along with notes explaining certain things.) but a lack of sprites has made it rather difficult, if I could find a spriter the project would be back on track and if that happened it would be good to have some help.
