I just downloaded and tried the game out right now, and I'm going to be honest.
There isn't an Intro cutscene or anything, so I had absolutely no idea where I was at, who I was or pretty much anything of that sort. Although when you finally enter a room of the first tree(trees have rooms?) You get an idea of who this character is (but you still have absolutely no idea of her background or family) Elvander is "The chosen one" and must embark on a journey which is never really explained in great detail. So basically, you have to find 8 gems. Nothing special here. So finally after talking to those two random women you get the honorable treat to explore the ugly city of Willowtree. Finally after being tortured, you get to leave town and thank god the mapping gets a bit better from their, but still can't be considered decent. Which brings us to the question: What about the mapping? At first the glitches give you the impression, "I guess the creator was a little careless" but you soon find so many its not even funny. You can walk through walls in some houses, you can't pass underneath trees(ever heard of priority?) and a few others that would take too long to list. So other then the frustrating amount of glitches, Hows the mapping? Well, the town you start off in is so horrible that I thought I was being fooled. And about houses, Really, Don't copy and paste them! Try to map in a realistic way. It's not often that all houses look the same in a town or neighborhood. A good example is your "garden" I understand that your trying to make your mapping good, but like i said, think realistically. Gardens are usually well tended and cared for, not overgrown and messy looking. Garden placement is usually symmetrical, so I usually don't expect to see gardens of that sort, unless you were trying to do this on purpose. Theres definitely more to say about this game, but I'll just leave it as this.
