@ Kemuri: There are 3 parts consisting of 5 chapters each, and I've done most of the part 1.

Yes, it is quite fast-paced, but expect it to be realistic... like I told Panda before, this is just the tip of the iceberg, setting the basis for everything to come... The succeeding chapters each consist of a dungeon, a boss (Around who the chapter's story revolves on) and more clues as to what happened in the past - What do you think? Does that suit a more chapter by chapter release format?

I'd prefer it to be released chapter by chapter then people can give you feedback straight away.

So if there are any dodgy parts you can change them when you re-release them. Kinda like a remix version. Or if some people felt the story was unclear you could add extras dialogue or scenes to it.
 
Since it sounds like each chapter is fairly self-contained, that's perfect for a chapter by chapter release, you might even want to call them episodes instead of chapters.


On a different topic, about the difficulty again: In a game where grinding is necessary to win, make sure that you leave hints about what level you should be at before fighting the boss. For instance, maybe have the heal/save girl say that you will "need an ability that will help you survive her opening attack" and that you should train a bit until you've reached that point. Then the player will know when they learn Will to Live that beating the boss is at least possible.

1.) @ Kemuri: Thanks for the sprites.

2.) What does "grinding" mean? I always thought that when you played RPGs, you're not supposed to run away unless it's absolutely necessary, and that certain bosses really required the player to level up... Although I guess it is a valid point, I'll have Ronan say something about getting a lot of training in case something goes wrong or etc. (Ronan's a walking tutorial).

3.) @ Kiroz and Kemuri: That settles it, expect the second chapter to be released during this month (Gotta finish it before they release Persona 3...) my only problem with it is that I have to find a way to transfer the Alignment system data for each game (they're stored in variables...) Any ideas about this? Everyone has been of great help so far. For anybody interested, here's a Chapter Preview...

Chapter 2! Things get more dangerous as the four friends learn more about the sordid truth behind their past. But at least they get their hands on some actual guns instead of using makeshift weapons, right? Although things may still go awry as Mary breaks down...

The second episode features 2 new dungeons and 2 highly lethal boss fights... plus, we get to know more about a certain wiretapper/ hacker from mainland China. Finally, SATORI Synthesis: Revisited! Will the Successor survive the dangers of Salem this time?

I like this game. Especially the battle system with its awards and such. Although, the faces look very computer-generated (they probably were) and that what has made me neglect to download this project. It's a shame, I would probably enjoy it. Still, it looks brilliant, and the stratergy incorperated into the Boss Fight (Karen) is something I am immensely fond of. Keep it up though!

wow, thanks a lot for the kind words. Anyway, sorry it's taking so long, Persona 3 is raping my free time (Yet another opportunity to endorse the game). I promise to have another episode done when school starts. I'm also drawing my own battlers this time so look forward to it bradley :D
