(left: Nebula Type, right: Nova Type)
GravityConjurer.png

Skills
Nebula Type
Crashing Blade - By jumping high, at the apex of the jump they will increase their sword's gravity by ten fold, crashing to the enemy with great speed and power.
Pressure Arena - Piercing their giant swords at the ground, they will cause the whole area to have double gravity, halving movement speed.
Gravity Hole - Most powerful skill of Nebula Type, they will create a mini black hole inside of the enemy causing them to literally implode.

Nova Type
Fan Boomerang - Throws fan at a very high speed and long distance since it is unaffected by gravity.
Float Arena - By raising their Fans, they halves the gravity on the whole arena, giving the party 'float' effect (negates ground type damage)
Super Nova - Complete removes the gravity effect on the enemy causing them to explode (outside having more pressure than inside the enemy)

Combination Skills - Must have both Nebula and Nova Class on your party to use.
Sky Crushing Blade - More powerful version of Crashing Blade, Nebula can jump higher with Nova's help.
Magnetic Earth - Negates any AoE magic skills, this is a channeling spell so both Gravity Conjurer cant make any action while it's active.
Gravity Armor - Makes the whole party invulnerable for one turn. It has a high MP cost however.

Speed 5 (nova) (1 nebula)
Physically Strong 5 (nebula) 1 (nova)
Magically Strong 3 both

Description: Gravity Conjurer are magicians that instead of controlling the force of nature, they utilizes and specializes in Gravity type skills they are come in two types, Nebula which can increase gravity and Nova which can decrease gravity. Nebula carries a huge magic sword named Dark Matter which they can control the Gravity at will, increasing it's weight with gravity when they see fit, they can render flying monster crashing into ground. Nova, on the other hand, wields dual fans called Pulsar, with it they can reverse gravity to their advantage (they can fly by making themselves zero gravity) They can remove enemies' gravity completely making that huge, tough and heavy golem paper weight. When Nebula and Nova work in tandem, they make a very dangerous pair because they can toy gravity at will (ex. making the nebula jump way higher when performing Crashing Blade) or play with the enemy by continually making them float then crashing them another second. High ranked Gravity Conjurer can even control enemy magic projectile by the use of magnet like control.

Just to add another thing:
I am also willing to create ONE cartoony custom title screen (Has to be non-animated). So for one of the higher up prizes put in a custom titlescreen + windowskin + icon.

Speed: 5

Magical: 2

Description
Crimsom and Azure blader are mysterious dual bladed swordsman from Excellion Empire, one of the final
trials of being a blader making one of the eye magically blinded (Left for Azure Blader, Right for Crimson Blader)
This is done because blader are so dangerous, the empire decided them to work in pairs so to ensure there is a
minimal chance of traitor. Bladers can only fight to their fullest only if they have their partners (acting as
their missing eye) Crimson being the brutal powerful type while the Azure is the tactician. There is a rumor though,
that a traitor blader duo tried to oppose the empire, both of them revolted in vain and roughly escape, while his
partner got badly injured. He gave his left eye to his partner and the one of his sword. There have been accounts of
sightings of this mysterious Knightmare Blader.
KnightmareBlader.png

Blader team are so in synch with each other's movement that they even breath at the same time. They always live in
constant watch of each other since the Knightmare Blader incident, power hungry blader often kills their partner to
attain their other eye though it could be just a rumor spread by the empire to ensure they watch each other preventing
traitor actions.

Name: DJ
Appearance: A Dj usually has headphones on ALL the time.Boys: shorts. Girls: Skirts. They also wear sleevless shirts. A better example:
aa94d2.png

Skills
Disco Beat: Uses the beat of the music to attack. Nobody knows what they'll do next because only DJs can hear the music.
Synch: Uses dance moves to deal elemental damage. Each dance has it's own effect and element.
Fashioniser: Increases attack depending on the armor they wear. The more the outfit and accessories match, the greater the bonus.
Bling Bling: This skill is activated automatically and works after battle. Increases the amount of money gained by 25%. This includes battle rewards and sold items.

Speed: 3
Physical Strength: 3
Magical Strength: 3

Description
A DJ is usually walking in the streets listening to music and hanging out in music stores, nightclubs and parties. They are usually synchronised with the music in battle, which means the enemy must listen to the beat to predict there next attack. But then again, they might listen to the song on their headphones which makes it entirely impossible to predict. They have lots of friends and sometimes get angry at strangers. They also use their mobile phones alot. They spend their money on CD's, new headphones and party supplies.

Name: Floriographist
Appearance: The men and women both dress in earth coloured clothes, with the men preferring leather armor on top and bottom, sometimes accented with green sashes whereas the women wear a leather armor on top but often wear a flowing brown skirt as opposed to leather pants but have been known to wear the pants. Both sexes go barefoot whenever possible and on leather sandals when not. Somewhere on the clothing there will be the image of a rose to denote their profession.
Weapon: The use flowers (only ones not used in the skill set) imbued with magical power to strike at the foe in a stunny yet ultimately still weak attack.

Physical Power: 1
Magical Power: 3
Speed: 3

Skills:
Witch-hazel: The plant of spells, using this particular flora allows the Floriographist to enter a magical trance that boosts the power of the next plant effect they use in combat.
Yarrow- This plant brings health and healing, upon revealing it, the party has a low to mid level healing spell cast on them
Mint- When magical energy is charged through this plant, it is able to remove any status effect (Except Death/Unconcious and Doom) from an ally or the caster
Acorn- This nordic symbol of life and immortality allows the user to revive an unconcious/dead party member.
Thyme- This plant grants the wielder the ability to bless all allies with an increase to physical strength until the end of battle or the effect is dispelled
Holly: Brandishing this plant during combat grants the entire group a small reduction in physical and magical damage.
Monkshood- This plant denotes chivalry on the user's part and caution on the enemy's, and right the enemy is to be cautious, when used in combat it will deal non-elemental magical damage that can critical like a physical skill, this skill has a slightly raised critical rate as opposed to physical attacks. (it deals Low to Mid level damage typically)
Marigold- The plant of pain and grief, brandishing this allow the caster to inflict a cursed state on the enemy which slowly saps their HP turn by turn.
Hyssop- This plant is said to ward away evil, the Floriographist can brandish it to deal heavy damage to demons and undead but no damage to any other creature.
Bird's foot trefoil- The plant of revenge, using this in combat causes the caster to gain a counterattack state that cannot be dispelled and will only disappear once the battle is over. Every time the Floriographist receives damage the enemy is hit with a magical attack that deals damage equal to the damage the Floriographist would deal with a normal physical attack.
Chamomile- This plant increases the amount of money (100%), rate of item drop (40%) and chances of rare items (15%) after battle, the percentages reflect the chance for that effect to activate, multiple effects can be active and the chance increase in relation to items varies from foe to foe, whereas the money simply doubles.
Lichen- This plant is used outside of combat, it represents solitude and allows the Floriographist to lower encounter rates temporarily, once the effect runs out, it must be recast.
Tulip-tree- This plant is the polar opposite of Lichen, it represents fame and thus draws enemies in by raising the encounter rate temporarily

Information
This class (Floriographist) is a group of people who have continued on the forgotten trend of 'the language of flowers' and transformed it into a religious following and praise of nature. Part of this religion involves them only being allowed to eat plants in one meal every week. They generally live in or near to a forest or if they live in the city, they usually have a garden of some sort.

Through magical training they are able to call on the hidden powers imbued in plants and use them to benefit others and ward away "evil" forces. It is said that the plants that this order uses in in conjunction with their magical powers do not die until the mage using them dies because of a bond they share.

Their religious society (Known as "Eden") is not secret nor is it exclusive, as they actively seek and accept new members into their ranks.

Mimi Chan :: Interesting character concepts with the dual wielding class, the gravity masters, and the card masters... but what's with always having the double verson? That's more like two classes that need eachother to ballance out. Male and female shouldn't change what the class does... what if the guy is more feminine or wants to be the alternate side of your classes?

Class name: Bard

Appearance: Often wear bright colors to attract attention. Unfailingly carry a musical instrument (lute, lyre, recorder, bongos, harmonica, guitar, etc...)

Weapons of Choice: Musical instruments, Mics, Broken drumsticks, etc...

Known Magic:
- Musically-based magic

Speed: 2

Physically Strong: 2

Magically Strong: 4

Special Abilities:
- Power-chord: Can possibly stun the target.
- Dissonance: Jars the target into breaking a combo, or enraging them.
- To Arms!: Refreshes the party. Minor party-heal, has a chance to cause an Invigorated state.
- Lullaby: Can put the enemy to sleep.
- Wardrobe Malfunction: Has a chance to Blind the target.
- Axe-smash: The only move that deals physical damage. Can stun the enemy.
- Amp Overload: Can mute the enemy.
- Grand Finale: Raises attack and defense of entire party for one turn, lowers defense of enemy for one turn. Knocks out the caster.

Description: Bards are people who spend their day wandering the streets, looking for people who are in the mood for music or a story. Of course, not without the proper compensation, a Bard's got to eat too! Bards can be quite manipulative; they'll make you laugh, cry, or even drop bricks at their sheer skill. This manipulative power becomes apparent in their entirely affliction-based skill-set. A Bard is a handy addition to that standard Fighter-Rogue-Healer trio that every game relies on.

Umm...each character can do well alone, but if you want to take advantage of their skills you have to get another one o.o

And a male can pick either of the two, I just shown that male tend to go this route etc.

Kodakami: Ain't bards are popular in other MMORPG o.O

OK guys, sorry for getting off track. Now to get back to business:

Wolfgang: Interesting class. It seems a classic fighter, with the added incentive to get another. (As long as you can afford it) It's an intriguing idea, and seems rather well balanced, unless the party can afford a second. Considered.

Muffins .org: I'm not sure on this one. They have a dual power level. If the party has magic that can dispell illusions, then the shape faker suddenly becomes monster that's about as powerful as the ones at any given starting town. If the party doesn't have a dispell, then they can be eliminated pretty quickly, no matter what their level. I'd advise changing the class so that is can protect itself when illusions fail, as well as weaken it for when illusions don't. (That fatal shot is pretty powerful. Maybe make it backfire if it fails, or something liek that) Still, even if you do follow my suggestions, from the way you described this class, it appears race-based:

No one knows what their true form is, and you can find them looking as everything...

Mimi Chan: I personally like this class. I'm tired of everyone playing a game only thinking of Luck when they want a critical, then ignoring it every other time. A luck based class is a good idea, and these are rather well balanced. This class would be best applied in an environment wher you can choose your own skills, so that you can build a combination of these two classes. (Lets face it, any class that has two builds like this would be). Considered.

cayoda: First, I want to say the the random capital letters made your post relatively difficult to read. Anyway, this class seems overpowered. The ability to summon a mount (With no specified effect), as well as the available combinations of attacks gives this class an undeniable advantage. I think that if you could look at your attacks and see how they interact with each other, you might see what I mean. Try to either eliminate some of them, or tone down their power level so that they can be used as a normal class.

Mimi Chan: Wow. This is an intriguing class. You seem fond of dual classes. This class, unlike the last one, is a bit overpowered. It's the last spell for each class that's the problem. They are insta-kills, and no good developer wants to put an insta-kill spell in their game, without some serious drawbacks. (DragonWarrior games often had them, but they didn't work on high level or boss level enemies) I'd recommend, right off the bat, that there be some way to partially nullify this class, becasue they just won't work in a standard setting. Too much power, especially when put together in the same party. This class could easily work in a game designed to contain them, (i.e. stuff like gravity nulling areas, thatr kind of thing) but, this isn't that game.

Injury: I apologize, but I can't really do anything with this until you follow the prespecified format. You have no appearance (just assume that not everyone knows what a zombie is), and the class is most definitely race-based. Not to mention the fact that one of your stats goes above the limit I specified in the first post.

Mimi Chan: Well now, this is interesting. Once again, try to cut down on the OHKO's. (Unless fatal was not intended to indicate that) I like the images you are providing, but I also think you should attempt to balance this out a little more. This class is intended to perform in a duo, thus limiting their abilities as a player-controlled class, while making them excellent enemies. I think that if you could curb your habits regarding OHKO's, or at least limit them, then you would definitely have better balanced classes. Considered, although I wopuld suggest changing the OHKO.

Keegzilla: Wow. I could have sworn that was a class in the last contest. Oh well, on to the comments: It's pretty interesting, but also pretty bland. It is well balanced, but only because there isn't really anything unusual included. Considered, but try something a little more out there next time. (I don't think attacking to an unknown beat is all that out there, just so you know. Pretty much ever class with multi-hit attacks does that to some extent)

Sniper: I like it. A classic support class with a botanical twist. It would be interesting to see if they have to gather a certain plant before they can use the related skill. Not too powerful, nor too weak. Considered.

Kodakami: Although I specifically stated that classes for the previous contest could not be used, this one is obviously different from the bard posted in the previous contest. This seems relatively well balanced, but it is on the weaker end of the scale. (Which is to be expected, I guess) Just try not to make a spell knock out the caster unless it really does something bit, becasue that last one doesn't seem to be worth casting. Considered.

Few are still alive now, and they act as innocent civilians -- Until danger attacks.

LunarEclipse: Please read the rules before posting in this contest. I just mentioned in the last post that there were prespecified limits for each stat, and you just went above them by 6 points. (So, by 110%) Not only that, but you failed to describe the spells/skills for your class. As I posted rules in the first post, and reinforced them in the post before yours, I'm going to have to say that you can't post another entry for 72 hours. I'm sorry, but I've got to start somewhere.

Towards the rest of the entrants: This contest has 1 week left! Please add finishing touches to classes I mentioned had issues, and begin to wrap it up. Once February 2nd comes around (Let's assume for PST, or GMT-8, for simpliticty) all entries are closed, and I will temporarily have the thread locked. You can continue to submit entries until then, but keep in mind that you must have a balanced class to win. Unlike the last contest, there is no hidden setting that classes will be judged by. Instead, classes will be judged in 10-point scales on:

Balance: The class is not too weak, nor too powerful. Classes that shift in power also lose points in this category, as it upsets the balance on other, more subtle ways. also, classes with complex rules may be hindered here as well. For simplicity, the scale will be from 1(severely unbalanced) to 10(Perfect balance)

Creativity: The class isn't a standard, classic idea. Classes that follow classic guidlines will be damaged, while classes that are unique in some way may score high points. This category will be scroed from 1(inside the box) to 10(way out there).

Playability: This is one of the most important categories. This is two-fold judging. If a class is extremely difficult to program, it will recieve low marks. The class will also recieve low marks if it is difficult for a player to play or keep track of. (Once again, classes with changing power levels will recieve low marks here) The judging will be from 1(difficult to near impossible) to 10(extremely easy). This category may end up being high for classes that scored low in creativity, but low for ones that did well there.

Fun: This is the most important category. If a class won't be fun to play, there's no point in making it. I will judge based on how different this class is compared to standard classes, the skill level required to play the class, as well as several other factors like general power level, and if its just plain funny. Judging will be from 1(boring to hateful) to 10(how could I NOT use this class!)

Once I post the winners, I will have the thread unlocked for comments, etc. I will also PM scores upon request, once the judging is over.

Oh yes, the Floriographist must gather at least one plant for the assigned skill, so s/he needs to find one and only one Acorn to learn the Acorn skill, like how in earlier Final Fantasies you bought or found spells in treasure chests.

Though most of the plants wouldn't be that hard to find at all, there are probably other skills/plants I could add to it. *does some research*

Try a pine drop. It is a very unique plant that doesn't rely on photosynthesis. There are similar plants which are actually categorized as heterotrophic (which is generally reserved for animals and such) (and at least two are categorized as monotrophic) because they get their energy from elsewhere. Some other examples include the snow plant, the squaw root, broomrape, and a couple of other plants, including some orchids.

hmm sounds fun...

Class name: Sword Strider

Appearance: Usually tall with red eyes and a white skin.
o1t.png

Useable Weapons: All kinds of swords. Varies from a Sword Strider to another.

Known Magics: Mostly temporary, and a few permanent, weapon enhancements. Note: only 2 permanent enhancements can be applied to the gem attached to the weapon's hilt.

Temporary Enhancements:
Oil Blade => Adds the negative status effect: Oil. Increases fire and lightning damage done to the target.
Shifting Blade => Rises the caster's hit chance by making his/her's blade changing between a visible and invisible form, making it harder for the enemy to dodge or parry attacks. Removes the Rage of Ages enhancement.
Rage of Ages => Increases damage done and dealt by the caster, and also increasing critical hit damage and lowering the hit chance. Removes the Shifting Blade enhancement.

Permanent Enhancements:
Life Surge => Permanently adds the drain effect to the applier's blade, causing part of the damage dealt by him/her to be converted into HP.
Bane of the Magi => Physical attacks and abilities allow the applier to deplete a small portion of the target's MP based on the damage dealt.
Pierce => Ignore the extra defense obtained by highly armored targets.
Berserk => When critically wounded, the applier of this enhancement increases his/her physical strength to attempt to deliver a fatal blow to his/her targets.

Speed: 4

Physical Strength: 4

Magical Strength: 2

Special Abilities: Draws upon the power hidden within their weapon, and bends it to their will, this is called the Soul Sword.

Description: The Sword Strider is one of the most feared enemies on a 1v1 fight. Enchanting their weapons grants an advantage which very few can mimic, the ability to adapt to the fight circumstances, gaining the upper edge against their enemies. Pairing up with his/her personal skills, comes the weapon's own will.
A Sword Strider doesn't chose his/her sword, the weapon chooses it's wielder. Most S. Striders became outcasts of their society due to their belief on the soul of a sword, which took them to be taken as possessed by demons or evil spirits.
Although a Sword Strider must only have one sword, they can attach different gems to the sword's hilt to obtain different powers from it.

This is my first entry, this contest looks awesome, keep the good ideas coming guys!

Edit1 and 2: Small grammatical errors.
Edit3: Small grammatical errors and added some more description to the class' abilities and magics.

Any of my Bladers don't do OHKO o.o
It's just one of those animations like in the game where the enemy is cut into pieces, exploded, hammered into the ground like a pancake, etc. Only visual but doesn't mean they are OHKO >.<

And I think you forgot about my Gravity Conjurer T.T

No s/he didn't it's in the middle of the evaluations post that you were evaluated in.

EDIT: I added 5 new skills to the Floriographist-
Witch-hazel, Marigold, Bird's foot trefoil, Lichen and Tulip-tree
