I was bored, so I tried to remake the town of Baron from FF2 in VX. It came out better than I expected it to, though not absolutely accurate.

This style looks pretty nice in VX actually... I might do a retro project reminiscent of the early Final Fantasys after some more practice.

I've never played Dragon Quest, but I found this image an made one. It's the closest I could get with the XP RTP, as I don't have VX and I don't have the cash for it right now. Sorry if there's anything wrong, I stuck it together in gimp, it might be a bit mis-aligned.

It's not exact, but it's pretty close. This is the town of Kazus from the original Final Fantasy 3. (in the US) Some spots aren't the same (and I didn't bother with the yellow trees) but overall they're pretty similar. (just ignore that top line of tiles :P)
