I'm against the idea unless it is done on a picture, like it was written. Here is why. As people read the "Memo" it is not instantly recognized there are spelling mistakes, unless it's really bad. Now as the hero in your game reads the memo, what is happening is you are acting like the hero's mind as you read to yourself this memo. So if you know how to spell a word, you would be reading it in your head as spelled correctly. Then the afterthought would be..."That's spelled wrong"
Let's just keep in mind that what you put on-screen is the game heroes perception of what he is looking at. So unless your hero can't spell, the memo should be spelled correctly.
Now if your hero could not read... then you could get away with spelling things wrong.
