YES to the above 2 posts. i look sometimes at people wanting help on a game, but it's the 'my idea' help me with it. it's hard to get into someone else's idea.

but i love collaborating. and it makes for WAY better results. we could do one together like a company would :) have a group of story people, have the artists, mapppers, ect ect. start on maybe a 1 hour game then go from there. (though i personaly can't think of a story small enough for 1 hour

The main reason perhaps is that yet, we lose interest or we get stuck at some part and quit. It happens to many people, and that's why only a few finish their games.

But I will do my best and finish mine to make this community full of completed games. :D

As love said This happens to me all the Time :( I've started like 5 and only got around to finishing One that is not even counted as a RPG so I will most likely never upload it. But I am pretty Serious about my Game right now... And I hope I stay Serious?

@Kodi: Hee, hee. I laughed at your "I hope I stay serious." comment.

Honestly, if we put a nice schedule and begin the game on a stable base, I am sure we can finish it. Let's not just come up with a random idea and say "Ooh! What a nice idea! I'll make a game out of it." and then forget all about your old game which you worked hardly on.

And I think one of the factors that some don't finish their games as well is real life. You never know what RL has in hide for you and what may suddenly come up and prevent you from touching the RPG Maker for a long time. :/

I think to solve this, we need to find a group of people before any development starts at all. A basic summary of the game, at best. This way, it's easier to collaborate on a game, and everyone has a say in the game's progress instead of being worker drones to a game they want to change around a bit.
This is actually a really good idea. After all, commercial games are developed by teams, and I think a small group could definitely put together a hell of a project.

Would anyone be interested in something along those lines? A collaborative project from the ground up? I'd love to try something like that, and if anyone else is willing to give it a shot, we could try and put something together. ^^

I'd be happy to start a project collaboration up. Anyone else willing to join in? maybe 1 or 2 more people?
