My "battle windows", showing all commands and items and all the like are entirely event based. My whole system is event based. Choosing to attack or use skill, flee, etc... all event based. Which skill to use, who to attack, all event based.
And (except for skills at the moment) it's not done with a single show choice command. Sure, it's a pain in the ass and even I wish there was a script for this, but it can be done.
Kinda throwing away random battles on my end because it's too tedious for me to care about, at least for the moment, but even that's not out of the question. I already figured it out on one map, but it would require sooooo much damn work to do every map, that I have thrown it out the window. But it can still be done.
Didn't despain add an entire option to the menu in his sandfall? Where you looked at the gladiators and when you bet? That is using all if not mostly nothing but events?
